National Schools Training (NST) is a leading provider of training and apprenticeships to schools across the UK.

Professional development to give you the skills to enter, progress and become a leader in the school workforce

National Schools Training (NST) courses have been designed by teachers for schools to improve the effectiveness of professional development. As former teachers, we understand the pressures and time constraints teachers are under and so our courses are designed around their needs and availability.

Every aspect of our training has been designed around specific job roles within the school workforce.

We now provide professional development qualifications and training to over 3,000 schools across the UK with over 200 schools joining our programme every month. Whether you want to become a teacher, take on more responsibility or develop yourself as a leader in your school, we offer courses for staff at all levels of the school body, from teaching assistant to head teacher.

The leading school apprenticeship programme supporting schools to employ support staff apprentices

The National School Apprenticeship programme supports schools to build capacity by employing apprentices in staff support roles.

As part of the programme, we recently launched the ‘One by 2020’ campaign for every school in England to employ an apprentice by 2020.

The Government want the public sector to play a role in meeting their target of 3 million new apprentices by 2020. Schools have the opportunity to play a key part in this drive and most schools, including local authority maintained and multi-academy trusts will be expected to contribute. NST are well placed to help guide schools through the process of recruiting, training and supporting apprentices.
